Notification Made About Abu Dhabi Scholarships, With 30 New Majors

 

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has made the announcement that the Abu Dhabi Scholarships will be offered again this year. These scholarships are intended to provide exceptional Emirati students with the opportunity to pursue higher education at some of the most prestigious universities in the world.


Additionally, ADEK has expanded its scholarship program to include 30 newly available majors. These new majors include medicine, entrepreneurship and innovation, landscape architecture, user experience design, web design, fashion design, music and performing arts, computer game production, culinary arts, journalism, and more. Around 82 different fields of study, including prestigious and innovative fields of study, are eligible for financial support from ADEK.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Elite Majors Grade 12/Year 13 students who have maintained a final average of 85% or higher in Grade 11/12. Grade 12/Year 13 students who have maintained an average of 90% or higher in Term 1.
  • Students that have earned a grade 12 or 13 creative major with an average of 85% or higher.
  • Applicants should submit a portfolio along with two letters of recommendation.
  • General Criteria
  • score of 6 on the IELTS or 60 on the TOEFL iBT
  • Offer of unconditional admission to one of the top 150 colleges throughout the world that have been authorized by ADEK.
  • Current college students who are under the age of 24 and are majoring in one of the recognized disciplines at one of ADEK's top 150 educational institutions.
  • A grade point average of at least 3.0 or its equal is required.
  • At the time of application, applicants are required to have earned at least 30 credit hours from an accredited university.
  • Scholarship Requirements for the Fast Track Program

Students who have been accepted by one of the 20 institutions on ADEK's list of authorized schools are eligible for fast-track scholarships, which allow them to skip the qualifying criterion and get shortlisted right away.
