Everything You Need to Know to Make 14,000 AED Monthly as a Teacher in the UAE



A number of schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have declared that they would be hiring up to 600 new teachers for the forthcoming academic year, which will begin in August. This has caused recruitment campaigns at schools in the UAE to pick up the pace.


One of the educational institutions, the name of which has not been made public, has said that it has more than one hundred openings that need to be filled for the academic year 2023-2024.

According to the provided information, a number of well-known schools, such as Taaleem, Gems Education, and Aldar, are among the institutions that have publicized the availability of open positions. For example, the Uptown International School in Dubai is looking for a School Counselor, and the Jebel Ali School in the city is looking for a Head of Secondary. Both of these schools are located in Dubai.


In addition, Aldar Academies is looking for a Head to fill the job of Ministry of Education department head, and many other schools have also posted advertisements for leadership posts.


What You Need to Do to Work as a Teacher in the UAE:

In order to be eligible for this job in the UAE, one needs to possess a teaching certification. In addition to this, candidates are required to complete the qualified teacher status (QTS) exam or anything comparable.

Yet, in order for a teacher to become a subject specialist, they need to obtain a degree that is directly related to the subject they teach.

According to Deepika Thapar Singh, the Principal of Credence High School, applicants for teaching positions at the school submit their curriculum vitae (CV) online. Those applicants who are shortlisted are then called in for interviews and live demonstrations of their teaching abilities in classroom settings, where they are evaluated based on their abilities.


The salary range for a schoolteacher in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is between AED 9,000 and AED 14,000 ($2,450 and $3,800), on average. The amount can change depending on the applicant's level of experience and education.
