In Lahore, the Chief Minister of Punjab performed the official opening ceremony for the Khatam-un-Nabiyeen (SAW) University

The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, has formally opened the first Khatam-un-Nabiyeen (SAW) University in the country in Lahore. He has also placed the foundation stone for the Jamia Masjid Khatam-un-Nabiyeen. Both of these events took place on the same day (SAW).

He ascribed his ability to serve religion and make significant progress in multiple sectors in such a short period of time to the "special blessings of Allah Almighty," which he said he received while speaking in a news conference.

In addition to this, he said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly would be dissolved in a short period of time and that general elections would be held.

In addition, the Chief Minister (CM) noted that the decision to create new districts and divisions in the province has been applauded by citizens and remarked that the Talagang district will remain under Rawalpindi and won't be added to Mianwali. Both of these remarks were made in reference to the fact that Talagang district will not be added to Mianwali.

At the beginning of this year, Parvez Elahi also presided over the inauguration of the brand-new building that houses the Punjab Assembly (PA), which was finally finished after a wait of 15 years owing to budgetary and political restraints.
